Testimonials

The course equipped Callum with AM knowledge and practical skills, enabling him to train others and support R&D and production

The main reason to send Callum on the Additive Manufacturing Course was to add to his skill set in order for him to work to his next promotion at Job Grade 6.

“Following completion of his Apprenticeship Callum was moved to Job Grade 5 and we are now building on his responsibilities so that he has the skills to move up to the next grade.

The knowledge he has gained on the course will significantly help him as he will now be able to demonstrate his knowledge of AM and use his practical skills to manufacture, test and evaluate new component designs.

The training course has given him the knowledge on AM type and material selection as well as the understanding of what is the best method to achieve the best outcome.

He will now be able to train others in the benefits and difference of the full range of AM processes. This will help grow the knowledge of not just the R&D team but also the production team especially when it comes to manufacturing jigs and fixtures for the manufacturing lines using 3D printed components.”
