Matt Fogg, 3D 360 Trainer

Matt wears several hats at 3D 360, working across technical sales, training and hands-on technical support. Day to day that means speaking with customers, selling and planning courses, delivering training in 3D CAD and 3D printing, and keeping things moving on the sales side.

His background is as practical as it gets. Matt spent his formative years working with his uncles, one in a car garage and one as a plumber, picking up hands-on skills during weekends and school holidays that have stayed with him ever since. From there he moved into product design, spending time from 2018 designing breathing apparatus and hard hats using Creo 3D CAD software, before joining a new company in 2020 where he switched to Autodesk Inventor. During that period he broadened well beyond the screen, taking on fabrication, welding, machining and machine installation for nuclear decommissioning projects, as well as design, manufacturing and installation work on barrier systems for the food industry. He joined 3D360 Skills Training in 2023, bringing all of that real-world experience with him.

That breadth of industry knowledge, combined with genuine hands-on experience of using 3D printing for prototyping, jigs and bespoke brackets, means Matt can speak to learners in a way that goes beyond the theory. What he enjoys most is watching a learner’s idea take shape and become a reality over the course of their training. Every day brings something different, and that suits him well.

Outside of work, Matt is a football player, a Wigan Warriors supporter, a dog walker and, most importantly, a dad. He also gives his time to the Leigh Rotary Club each Christmas, towing their float through the local area, and is taking part in the MND Run in October alongside Sir Kevin Sinfield.
