His career began in retail with Comet Electrical and Norweb, where he progressed from sales to Store Manager before moving into training and leadership development.

After retiring in 2012 due to ill health, Mike was later diagnosed with adult ADHD in 2018, a moment that brought clarity to a life defined by energy, creativity and adaptability. It also reignited his passion for learning.

In 2024, Mike joined a 3D 360 Skills Bootcamp as a learner and was so inspired by the experience that he came out of retirement to join the team! 

Today, he shares his knowledge of 3D printing, Industry 4.0 and practical training with others, creating engaging and supportive learning environments.

Mike’s approach is rooted in positivity. His mantra is “Catch people doing right.” He’s also a proud brass bander since 1973, a committed dad joke specialist and someone who brings warmth, humour and heart to every training session.
