McKenzie works in admin and learner support at 3D 360, and the role is as much about people as it is about paperwork. Day to day that means onboarding new learners, coordinating training dates, keeping records up to date and being the person learners can turn to when they have a question or need something sorting. The goal is always to make the process as smooth as possible for everyone involved, and McKenzie takes genuine pride in that.

The drive to get on and get stuck in goes back a long way. McKenzie started working as soon as possible and has kept going ever since. Before joining 3D360, four years were spent at Velocity, progressing from court monitor to supervisor and then into an acting manager role for six months. That last step came with real responsibility: day-to-day running of the venue, managing staff, rotas and breaks, training new team members, handling customer complaints, bookings, stock and cash, health and safety, and opening and closing. It was broad, busy and demanding, and it built the kind of experience that transfers well. After four years, the time felt right for a new challenge, and 3D360 offered exactly that.

The skills that came out of that period, organisation, communication, calm under pressure and a natural comfort with people, are exactly what McKenzie brings to the team now. Since joining, there has been a genuine enthusiasm for learning how the training industry works and understanding everything that happens behind the scenes to support learners and colleagues alike. McKenzie is also, by all accounts, known for making an excellent brew, which counts for a great deal in any office.

Outside of work, McKenzie is someone who likes to keep busy. The gym, long walks, music, photography and time with family and friends all feature heavily. There’s always a next holiday or day out to look forward to, and apparently far too many photos taken along the way. McKenzie has also volunteered at a local Cubs and Scouts group, helped the Rotary Club with their Christmas float and will be doing a charity run for the MND Association.

The fun facts are worth saving for last. McKenzie has swum with dolphins in the Maldives, one of which lifted McKenzie clean out of the water, and has also swum with turtles on the same trip. And for those who think they have McKenzie figured out, it usually comes as a complete surprise to learn that McKenzie used to play rugby.
