David Hindmarsh - Nuclear Trainer

David is a seasoned portfolio and programme manager with more than 30 years of experience delivering complex, high-value projects across defence, nuclear, and government sectors.

His nuclear credentials include a Lead Programme Controller role at BAE Systems, where he oversaw all aspects of planning and financial control for a nuclear submarine capability programme, managing resources across multiple UK sites. He has also worked at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) through Turner & Townsend, bringing rigorous project controls discipline to one of the UK’s most sensitive nuclear sites.

Across his career, David has held senior roles with the Home Office, MBDA, QinetiQ and a range of major government departments. His expertise spans programme planning, financial oversight, stakeholder management, contract management and operational process improvement.

As a trainer, David brings the same clarity and structure to the classroom that he applies on complex programmes. He has a strong track record of developing planning teams and upskilling professionals at all levels, and holds a TEFL qualification at Higher Distinction Masters level, giving him a formal grounding in how adults learn and how to make technical content land.
